Short distance

All trips aren't to the other side of the globe. Some are a 20 minute ride from home.

1$ lens attached to a Fuji

I picked up a vintage Olympus OM10 with an Olympus F.Zuiko 50mm 1.8 lens from 1979 for 1$ at a flee market. The lens looks beat up but works fine both optically and mechanically. Using this kind of older manual gear is so much more satisfactory compared to urging for and spending money on the latest and greatest.

What hides in the shadows...

Malmö, Stadshuset.

Malmö, Fersens väg.

Autumn palette.

On my way home from work I bike along this street almost every day. The lighting is quite often very nice in this particular place when the sun is setting between the houses. With autumn comes not only rain and wind but also interesting cloud formations. I just love the color palette that autumn brings.

Where the streets have no names

The chaos and activities near the beaches can be as intense and interesting as in the city.

Last rays of the day

We've been blessed with some beautiful sunsets lately. On our way from an evening swim we had to stop to catch the last sun rays of the day.

Nordic light

I've had a hard time finding interesting subjects after coming home from long travels. Trying to make use of the fantastic Nordic light.

Air quality

We're back in Sweden after almost 2 months in Vietnam. I already miss the warmer climate but boy its nice to breathe clean fresh air again. The air in Honoi sucks (Hanoi apparently is one of the five most polluted cities on the world). I also notice how clear and blue the sky here in Sweden is compared to Vietnam. Anyway.. some recent urban details from Malmö:

Details, so much details everywhere

There's so much details everywhere. Sometimes it is hard to find a spot where you can rest your eyes.

Firewatch

Early morning, January. Ribersborg, Malmö.

Sometimes when I bike to work a take a different route than usual. It keeps your mind alert (forcing your brain to create connections between new synapses) and relaxed at the same time. Totally clear skies are unusual here.  This morning the sky was one big amazing color gradient.

Photo is taken facing west. I have the rising sun in my back.
