Duong Dong, Vietnam

When visiting Phu Quoc, don't miss the town Duong Dong! I have mixed feelings about the island of Phu Quoc. I loved the messy town of Duong Dong and that you quite easily could take a Grab to a desolate beach. If you visit this island don’t spend your days at a beach near the hotels for the charter tourist. Those are crowded and overpriced. Patches of the beaches are private and reserved for the guests of the hotel owning the property. Mostly tourists from Russia and tourists dressing and behaving inappropriately.

Phu Quoc, Vietnam

Really don't see the point spending days at crowded beaches (like for example 'Long Beach') when you can take a cab and find beaches like this just 20 minutes away.

Rach Gia, Vietnam

Before taking the superdong (boat) to Phu Qouc we spent a few days in Rach Gia. We were probably the only westerners in town. A lot of people stared, said 'hello' or tried to engage in a conversation.

Mekong Delta

Travelling on the Mekong river, Vietnam, and grabbing some early breakfast from the floating merchants.
